After a man was killed by a crocodile at a breeding farm, a mob armed themselves with knives, shovels, hammers and clubs, and killed each and every one of the 292 endangered saltwater and New Guinea crocodiles at the facility (which, interestingly, was labeled as a “sanctuary” for the endangered animals, but also allowed some of the crocodiles to be “harvested” as well). We share our condelences for the man who tragically died in the incident at the facility. Please keep in mind that we humans are animals too. And, no matter how separated or sacred we believe ourselves to be, just with the environmental devastation we are causing with animal agriculture, this mass violence will come back to bite us. In the end, we simply cannot “harvest” (i.e., exploit and kill) countless billions of sentient animals to satisfy our whim to eat and wear animal products, and then expect that everything is going to be just fine. Please don’t support the destructive exploitation and killing of sentient animals. Please embrace nonviolence towards the vulnerable, and live vegan. It’s easy to do, and it’s the very least we owe other animals. And, it’s healthier for you and the planet. |
