Most people would agree this is a rhetorical question, the answer to which is an unequivocal “no.” However, we continue to breed millions of animals to be confined, tortured, burned and mutilated for cruel animal experiments. Monkeys, for example, are often hit in the head in devices like these. And it’s considered “acceptable”. It’s also considered “acceptable” to force-breed, exploit, mutilate and butcher countless billions of other animals for foods that no one needs. Their short lives and violent deaths are marked by misery, fear and terror. None of this is okay, nor is any of it necessary. Frankly, we think it’s transparently outdated, barbaric, and plain horrific. We realize our posts and those of others trying to raise awarness on these issues may seem repetitive at times. But these issues bear repeating, over-and-over, until we hopefully evolve as a society to recognize that using animals – whether for food, clothing, entertainment, experimentation or otherwise – should neither be considered normal nor acceptable. Please be a part of this growing recognition and (if you’re not already) stop using and consuming animal products. And please help raise awareness of these important issues in whatever way you can. |
